During the Covid-19 pandemic, we are offering screen hire at heavily reduced rates and we're delighted to be able to offer a special rate of £85 off peak / £97.50 peak for Screen 3 (see the What Times Are Available section below for more info). For our larger screens, please enquire for rates.

The initial arrangements to hire a screen are carried out exclusively through email (see address at bottom of the page). Please make sure to read the below FAQs prior to emailing, as they will likely answer any questions you may have:

What happens if The Dome is closed due to Worthing moving to Tier 3 or 4, or another lockdown?

Your screening will either be refunded or rescheduled to suit you. Due to the two weekly reviews of the tier system, while we may send you a payment link in advance of these dates we will not require payment to be made until after the tier system has been reviewed that affects your hire.

How many guests can I invite?

This depends on social distancing, which must be kept between household bubbles. The only exception to this is for children in a school bubble, who may sit together in groups of up to 6 - however they must sit socially distanced from anyone not in their school bubble (so you would not be able to sit with you child if they were sat with a school bubble, if the other children in the school bubble are not part of your household bubble). A full auditorium will be anywhere between 9 and around 20 guests depending on the size of household bubbles. Please see the below diagram for an example of how social distancing works in the screen.

How is social distancing enforced?

Once your booking is confirmed and you have confirmed numbers attending, we will create a seating plan for you. This seating plan must be adhered to at all times during the screening. We must also insist that where a screening consists of more than one household bubble, at no time before, during or after the screening do household bubbles mix in a group larger than 6.

What can I watch?

Included in the price is any film that we are already screening or the film of your choice from DVD or blu-ray that is under 2.5 hours in length. Under current guidance, we cannot allow singalong screenings.

You can also use the screen for videogames, with an HDMI and ethernet cable provided to attach your console to our screen. We are unable to provide a console, games or controllers for this.

What times are available?

Our usual hire slots (times may vary slightly) are:

Weekdays - 5pm* & 7.45pm

Saturdays - 10am, 12.30pm, 3.15pm, 5.45pm & 8.15pm

Sundays - 10am, 12.45pm, 3.30pm & 6.15pm*.

Those marked with an * are Off Peak at £85, along with the 7.45pm on Mondays. All others are charged at Peak rate of £97.50

To check if your chosen time and date is available, please email us (see link at the bottom).

What happens on the day?

On arrival, each guest will have their temperature taken with our contactless temperature device and be asked some screening questions (whether they've be asked to isolate in the last 2 weeks, or have had any Covid symptoms in the last 2 weeks). We will also take track and trace information for each bubble if not already provided to us (ideally we would have this in advance through email).

Guests will need to wear a face mask until sat in the screen, and will need to wear one at any time that they are not sat (unless they are medically exempt or under 11 years old).

Between each screening or hire, the auditorium will be deep cleaned for your safety. We therefore ask that you arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before your slot to ensure there is minimal waiting outside of the screen. We do ask that you arrive promptly as we may not to be able to delay the start of your hire as it will have a knock-on effect to other screenings.

The kiosk and Projectionist's Bar will open throughout your hire for and drinks and snacks you wish to purchase.

Can I book for dates beyond the next month?

We are not booking in hires more than 4 weeks in advance due to the fast changing situation. You can however pencil in dates with us in advance which we will then confirm nearer the time.

Can I bring decorations / my own food with me?

You are certainly welcome to bring your own decorations, however as the entrance to the screen is on a fire escape route, decorations must be only in the auditorium. We also cannot allow any wall-mounted decorations.

You can bring your own food though it must not be something that can damage the seating (e.g. oily or greasy foods or that with staining properties).

You can bring a birthday cake, however candles are not allowed.

Can I make my hire a public event?

You can, though different rules will apply and we can go through this with you upon enquiry.
